In April, Brian O'Donovan will present two programs about Celtic arts and culture.

On Sunday, April 3, Brian O'Donovan and his wife, musician Lindsay O'Donovan, will trace the tragic and fascinating history of Ireland through the music that has marked many of its most significant events in "A Short History of Ireland through Song."

Then, on Sunday, April 24, O'Donovan will return with guests to present a contemplative celebration of the spoken word. His guests will perform the poetry and prose of great Irish writers along with music that complements or interprets the spoken word in "Words and Music of Ireland."

Brian O'Donovan is widely known for his GBH radio program A Celtic Sojourn and as a producer for GBH's popular A Christmas Celtic Sojourn and A St. Patrick's Day Celtic Sojourn events. He was born and raised in Clonakilty West Cork, part of a family of nine. He received his degree from University College Cork in 1978 before heading to England. He then journeyed to Boston and graduate school at Emerson College.

The programs are free and open to the public. However, space is limited to the room's capacity (approximately 70 guests), and registration is required:
