Friends of the Library Programs

The Friends of the Library plan and sponsor a number of public programs of enrichment each year. These include lectures, author readings, demonstrations, performances, and recitals. All programs are free and open to the public.

In addition, the Friends sponsor several programs each year for children.

In past years, most of our programs have been in the Library’s Community Room. Click here for directions to the Library. If you enter the Library through the main entrance, the Community Room is just inside the main entrance doors to the right. If you enter the Library through the Highland Avenue entrance, the Community Room is on the lower level on the opposite side of the building.

2020-2021 Programs

We are planning to offer programs during the 2020-2021 year. However, the Library has been closed since mid-March 2020, and in-person programs at the Library will not be possible as long as the Library is closed. Even after the Library reopens to patrons in some restricted way, it is likely that gatherings in the Community Room will not be feasbile until later.

So, our 2020-2021 programs will be offered online, "virtually". Some may be recorded and viewable later via streaming or a cable TV channel. We will try to keep you informed about our programs by means of this web site and the Friends email list.

All our 2020-2021 programs are free and will be presented via Zoom videoconferencing. To receive the link, please register within one month of the event date here.
